Firs Challengers Take On The Sahara Trek In Aid Of Compton Hospice

The Firs Challengers took on the ultimate Challenge for charity in November 2006. With the aim of raising £12,000 for Compton Hospice six ordinary people trekked 100 km across the Sahara Desert. This started a chain of events that was without doubt beyond their hopes and expectations. With a PR pack in hand the trekkers got more and more sponsors from good old Joe Public to businesses in and around Wolverhampton, and they all dug deep. By the time they had returned to a rally of cheers the main event, supported by lead up events, raised a massive £35,000.
